Butchart Garden

 This is the second time we visited this garden, the first one is exactly thirty years ago, It's good that we visited this garden again, we also had our first HIGH TEA this time, the restaurant can accommodate vegetarian and special diet.

Victoria Harbor

 

We got here on Monday afternoon, the wind is howling and the wind chill makes even colder, but the next three days are very nice weather until we departed Victoria, we explore the south side of Victoria to Fisherman Wharf.

Seattle Japanese Garden

 

It is a full sun, so I have to deal with a lot of shadows, I like to come back again when it is cloudy.

Kelsey Creek Farm

 

This is a new place and I am glad it is overcast so the lighting is really soft and I don't have to deal too much with the shadows, this farm is located in the city limit, kind of hard to imagine.

Bellevue and It's Parks

 

Every time we go to Seattle, I requested to Hansen and Yvonne to a new place, whether it's for scenery or culinary, this time we go to Meydenbauer Bay Park and Bellevue Downtown Park.

My Morning (colorful) Walk

 

I decided to take the "Church Route) I was not disappointed, I was presented with early spring leaves and flowers. This time I walked 1.7 miles, I will add some more when I walk with Gary this afternoon.

Fernhill Wetlands

 

Not a cloud today, the morning was still cold, nut afternoon should be in the high 60s, so we exercise here get about 1.5 miles while taking pictures of this wetlands, we forgot our binoculars, we should just put it in the car.

Ducks and Canadian Geese

 

I want to exercise by walking at least one round (about 1.0 mile) also I want to capture the ominous clods, almost at the end of my walk the sky is getting darker and light rain starts. The colors are not there yet, but at least I capture some ducks and Canadian geese migrating from the north.

The weather is cloudy and just a very light rain, so I entice Pokie to have lunch in Lake Oswego, it turned out that Pokie found a Japanese Restaurant owned by the Japanese people and the menu is simple, it turned out a very good food - OISHII..

Sakura #2

 

Today is the second cloudy day without any rain, so off I go to Walmart and its surrounding to take more pictures of the cherry blossoms.

Sakura in My Backyard

 

The winter "heatwave" transforms the cherry trees overnight to be the best blooms this year. When I saw the forecast that today will be cloudy, the light bulb inside my head said "GO", the result is nothing but full blooms, without too many petals on the ground.

Astoria - a night at the coast

 

When I saw the forecast that it will be in the 70s at Beaverton, then at the coast must be nice without the threat of rain. It has been the warmest day in March. On the way to the beach, we visited Fr. Dave in Scappoose, I was 30 minutes too early.

The Slowest Thawing

 

The slowest thawing and the coldest weather in 30 years, mostly we stayed home, I attempted to walk but the furthest destination in the driveway, one fall and two surgeries in 2016 enough to ground me when the road became icy and solidify.

The temperature went down to minus 10 Celsius yesterday, today is Sunday and we might not get out from this SNOWGEDDON until Wednesday morning next week. As always Pokie ventured out but I went as far as our own drivewaym
