The forecast is rain, rain and rain. but it does not deter us from going, why? Because we want to test our newly acquired raincoats.

Hug Point

After a nice lunch we went to this beach, an even shorter hike from the parking lot. Our grand-niece was spooked by the wave that suddenly trapped her at the opening cave. What a fun trip this was.

Oswald State Park - Short Sand Beach

Short Sand Beach

This trail is a much nicer than yesterday to North Jetty, about 1/4 or half a mile each way. We go through a lush green forest along the way.

North Jetty - Nehalem State Park

North Jetty
This is the first full day we had, the order of the day is completing a trail to North Jetty in Nehalem State Park, it was a grueling 4 miles round trip, with the puddles and the rain at the end, but we have a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.

Barnhaus - Our vacation story

Short Sand Beach

When Yvonne and Hansen invited us to join their vacation on the Oregon Coast, we quickly agree to the plan. The rest in history, what a fun trip and exploration we had.

Oregon Garden - End of summer

The weather and lighting were perfect for my photography, no harsh shadows to deal with, also it was pleasant to walk around without the heat.

To Silverton via West Linn and Canby

Crossing Willamette River by Canby Ferry

When Pokie wanted to go to the farm to get organic duck eggs, I researched how to go to Oregon Garden via West Linn and Candy, I also found a small chocolate "factory" along the way.
