The forecast calls for a hot day on Monday, so we head to the mountain to cool off and visit this lake, so close, yet we have not explored since we live in the area. We walk the complete Trillium loop with a total of 2.0 miles. It's warm when we walked.

Escape from the heat

Lincoln City - Taft Historical District

We escaped the heat to Lincoln City, we tried the Newberg-Dundee Expressway that was done maybe 4 years ago. We then go to Depoe Bay and back to Taft Historical District for some fried clams which took about forty minutes to get done, we were given 23 ketchup sachets.

Astoria Riverwalk

We escaped the heat and went to Astoria for a much cooler weather, but lunch is on the first agenda then we walk a portion of the Astoria Riverwalk, on the way home we stop at CAMP 18 for a restroom stop. Oh by the way, we also found hand sanitizers in the smaller town.

We needed to take a drive after sheltering in the house during this COVID pandemic. Our friend Rod is recuperating after triple by pass surgery last May. So we set a date and approximate time and behold we are in this amazing estate next to McKenzie River. Enjoy the journey....By the way, I also found a covered bridge along the way.

We ventured to the east to visit our friend in Gresham. The garden is in full bloom, so I spent time taking this beautiful garden full of all kind of flowers, enjoy!
