Lan Su Classical Chinese Garden

Lan Su Chinese Garden
I recreated this classical garden, knowing that I know more of post production and treated each image with more care when it comes to cropping. The images are the same, but the result is more pleasing to the eyes.

Bethany Lake Park

Inside Bethany Lake Park
I am exploring the surrounding area, today I found Bethany Lake Park. The lighting was soft and perfect, it drizzled at the end but for a very short time.

Colorado Trip - 2004

Above Aspen
I am bored and I have to do something. There is nothing better than to relive our 2004 Colorado trip. At that time I did not have digital camera, it was still cost prohibitive. So, all the images here are from Kodak films, digitized by Costco. I would say NOT BAD for these qualities.

Royal Gorge Route - 2004

Royal Gorge Bridge
This is the third of railroad theme from our 2004 trip to Colorado, one too many if you ask Pokie, but this is spectacular to say the least. The bridge was constructed in 1929 and it is 955 feet from the river down below. It held a record of being the highest bridge in the world from 1929 to 2001.

Pikes Peak Cog Railway - 2004

At the Summit - 14,110 feet
This is from our 2004 trip to Colorado, it was a trip that is not easily forgotten. On this trip, we went to three railroads theme, one too many if you ask Pokie.

Alaska Cruise (revisited)

Glaciers
This is our 2005 Cruise with Holland America Line, it starts from Vancouver BC for a week, we had a blast but the feeling is "I have seen Alaska, but I have never been to Alaska" so in 2006 we drove to Alaska.

Promontory, Utah (revisited from 2004 trip)

The reenactment of May 10th, 1869
I love train, there's not doubt about it, maybe I was a train engineer in my previous life. This is the transcontinental railroad, for the first time in US History, you can go from east to west.

Pine Street Market

Inside Pine Street Market
On a sunny Saturday, we venture to downtown Portland to check the new happening - The Pine Street Market, this concept has been done before in larger metropolitan such as Toronto and Seattle.

The Grotto

A place of solitude, peace and prayer
We always come here for prayers and some peaceful time, we like this place so much, but I have not been in this place during Christmas time where they strung thousands of lights.

Cooper Mountain Nature Park

Cooper Mountain Nature Park
On the second warmest day of this year so far, I asked Pokie to drive me here, just to check if the trail is good enough for the wheelchairs? Upon inspection, I concluded that it will be rough to go on this trail, except when you have a power scooter.

Powerhouse Park & Rose Garden

The lake at the Powerhouse Park
I know so many trails and parks due to my association with Viva Village, an independent retirement living arrangement which will be available by the end of this year. I am just helping in taking photographs for their monthly walk. This must be the shortest one so far.

Greenway - Fanno Creek Trail

Greenway - Fanno Creek Trail
When the threat of rain was in the afternoon, I dragged Pokie that morning to take me to this trail, I walked for two miles while taking pictures, I feel very good that day, but I have to come back to the hospital the next day. My hematoma came back.

Dear God Almighty, I pray and hope that no more hematoma. Thank you Lord.
